Over the coming months we will be updating this page with some top travel tips for our overseas guests. We’ll be adding information on places to stay, things to see and do and how to get around.

Where to stay in Sydney

Depending on what sort of experience you are after there are some great areas of Sydney to stay, here are our favourite spots.

Manly is in the Northern Beaches of Sydney and is one of the best spots around. It’s got beautiful beaches, a super relaxed but lively vibe, and everything you need - shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants and bars.

Getting to the city is easy too. Just hop on the ferry and enjoy the most scenic or rides that takes you right past the Sydney Opera House and under the Harbour Bridge, so it’s basically a mini sightseeing tour.

For slightly cheaper accommodation Freshwater is a good option. There is easy access to Manly via or taxi and still have nice shops, cafe, restaurants, bars and beach.

If you’re into beach days but still want to explore the city, Manly and Freshwater gives you the best of both worlds.

If you prefer more of a city vibe, Surrey Hills is a great shout. It’s a cool inner-city neighbourhood, with trendy cafes, bars and shops.

You’ll be spoilt for choice with restaurant’s and brunch spots. With beautiful terrace houses it’s just a nice place wander and explore. It’s super central too so if you do fancy a day out to Bondi Beach or Coogee you’ll be right near Central Train Station and bus routes. Getting around Sydney is easy from here.

Darlinghurst and Paddington are also good options.
